Alendis TV and the Icelandic Agricultural Advisory Centre have launched a collaboration on live streaming from all breeding shows across Iceland in summer 2021. The goal is to make the Icelandic horse more visible and to promote it in more target areas.

“We at Alendis are extremely proud of this collaboration and believe that it is a great milestone for Icelandic horsemanship. Icelandic horse breeders everywhere, in Iceland and abroad, now have the same opportunity to study the breeding horses available. Now, breeding judgements will not only be numbers on paper but also a show which can be looked up at any time,” says Edda Hrund Hinriksdóttir, project manager for Alendis TV.

Overall, there will be broadcasts from about 70 breeding show days at 5 competition fields around Iceland from 31 May to 22 August. The summer’s first two shows will be at Hella on Monday, 31 May, and Hólar on Wednesday, 2 June.

Alendis TV will also stream live from the Reykjavík Championships, Regional Championships, the Icelandic Championships for adults, teenagers and children, and other events. They can be watched either live or later, at the viewer’s convenience.

Those who are interested in purchasing a video clip of their favourite horse can email sales@alendis.is. Each clip costs EUR 33. For viewing the events, buy a day pass or subscribe to Alendis TV. Find further information and the programme here.
